What is a Teaser Bet?
A teaser bet is a group of straight or total bets combined together. In a teaser positive points are added to the betting line. For example if a team is favor by "-6" and you are going to place a "4" point teaser bet on it your team has to only cover "-2"(-6 + 4 = -2) points.
Teasers have to be put in groups. You can not make a teaser bet on only one team. The payout of a teaser depends on how many games you are combining in your teaser. In order for a teaser bet to win all the games included in that teaser have to cover their respective lines.
Teaser Example
Let's say we want to place a 6 point teaser bet on the following 3 games:
- Washington Redskins (+3) - Indianapolis Colts (-3)
- New England Patriots (-12) - Chicago Bears (+12)
- Seattle Seahawks (+3) - Miami Dolphins (-3)
Again, let's say we want to bet on Redskins, Patriots, and Dolphins. This is a 6 point teaser. So in order for us to win our 3 game teaser bet, our football picks have to cover their line plus 6 points. So Red skins has to cover a (+9) line. Similarly Patriots have to cover (-6) and Dolphins have to cover a (+3) line.
In the above example, Dolphins were favorite to win the game by 3 points. We put a 6 point teaser bet so even if Dolphins loose 34 - 32 (with less than 3 points difference) we still win that game in our teaser.
